What is Early Intervention?

Early Intervention consists of educational services and supports designed to help families with children aged 3-5 who are eligible for and in need of specially designed instruction. While all children grow and change at their own rate, some children can experience delays in their development. Sometimes this can be cause for concern. The LIU 12 Early Intervention Program provides educational supports and services to young children and their families/caregivers to help the child grow and develop.

Who is Eligible?

Children ages 3-5 who have special education needs as determined by PA state Eligibility guidelines.

How to Refer A Child?

If your child or a child in your care is experiencing difficulty with talking, walking, moving, hearing, seeing, or learning, you may refer them for an evaluation to determine if preschool early intervention services are needed. Complete the Lincoln Intermediate Unit 12 (LIU) Early Intervention Referral Form below.
