Paradise School Emotional Support Programs

Academy: 

Academy is a behavor intervention program that serves special education students in grades K-6. Comprehensive education services are provided to students with emotional and behavioral difficulties who require more support than can be offered in a traditional school building and/or for students transitioning from more-restictive placements. 

Through a therapeutic and postive enviroment, individual and unique needs of each student are met via:

on-site access to psychological and psychiatric service.

Small group/indidivualized instruction of a traditional academic day and practice of necessary skills for successfurl transition back to traditional public placement. 

 

Montemum:

Behavior intervention program that serves special education students in grades 7-12.Comprehensive education services are provided to studentswith emotional and behavioral difficulties who require more support than can be offered in a traditional school building and/or for student transitioning from more-restrictive placements. Curriculum based on the Common Core and PA State Standards. 

Behavioral and therapeutic interventions are provided by a team including a psychologist, a special education teacher, Instructional Advisor and a paraprofessional.

Small group setting an individualized instruction.

 

PAL-Preparatin for Adult Living Classroom:

Students are provided small group and individualized instruction to meet their academic needs in a highly structured, self-contained clasroom.

Behavioral and therapeutic interventions are provided by a team including a psychologist, a special education teacher, Instructional Advisor and a paraprofessional. 

Community and daily living skills are a part of the program. Some activities include apartment living skills and shopping and preparing food.
