Dr. Jeremy Overlander

Program Specialist

Jeremy is a Program Specialist on the entrepreneur side of the IU. Before joining the IU, he served as an administrator at York Academy Regional Charter School, where he played a key role in launching the Upper School, a new middle/high school. He initially managed essential operations like maintaining safety and security, then transitioned into the role of curriculum director. As the school grew, he established the MTSS program, supported student behavior initiatives, charged with master scheduling, evaluated teachers and staff, and eventually became the district area coordinator. In that role, Jeremy prioritized using first-hand data and worked closely with teachers to implement effective MTSS practices.

Prior to becoming an administrator, Jeremy spent twelve years as a teacher in the Spring Grove Area School District. Teaching 5th-grade math, science, and social studies sparked his passion for education and his dedication to student success. His commitment to making a broader impact led him to earn a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Penn State and pursue a doctorate and principal certificate in educational leadership from Immaculata University.

Outside of work, Jeremy enjoys spending time with his wife, Tracy, and their four energetic boys. Their silver lab adds to the already lively household. The family shares a love for basketball and enjoys playing games together.  Every summer, they embark on fun adventures and creating memories.
