Dr. Jeremy Overlander

Program Specialist

Jeremy is an Entrepreneurial Program Specialist. Before coming here, I was an assistant principal at York Academy Regional Charter School. During my time there, I played a key role in launching the Upper School, a new middle/high school. Initially, I handled managerial tasks, like ensuring our security system and cameras were in good shape. I also took on the role of curriculum director.

Before becoming an administrator, I spent 12 amazing years as a teacher at the Spring Grove Area School District. Teaching 5th-grade math, science, and social studies sparked my love for education and fueled my passion. I decided to pursue my doctorate and principal certificate in educational leadership from Immaculata University and earned my master's degree in curriculum and instruction from Penn State. Along the way, I was honored with the governor’s award for our students’ high math scores. 

When I'm not working, I love hanging out with my wife, Tracy, and our four boys. We also have a silver lab named Barkley, who keeps us on our toes! It's a relief that Tracy is a teacher too because our house can get crazy with four energetic boys running around. We're a basketball-loving family and enjoy playing games together. We're always busy with sports and cheering on our boys at their games. Each summer, we go on fun adventures during our vacations, making precious memories that we hold dear. The time we spend together as a family is truly priceless to us.
