Early Childhood Elementary Education ESL Program Specialist Principal Certification: Administrative I 

Mrs. Wendy Lockett

Wendy Lockett has over 15 years of experience in education. Before joining Lincoln Intermediate Unit 12 in 2018, she worked for 12 years in Prince George’s County, Maryland, as a pre-kindergarten teacher for seven years, kindergarten teacher for one year, and an ESOL teacher for four years. 

Wendy is a 2003 graduate of Misericordia University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a 2008 graduate of Towson University with a master’s degree in early childhood education. She completed an administration and supervision certification program at Bowie State University and an ESL program specialist certification with Wilkes University. Her certification areas include Early Childhood, Elementary Education, ESL Program Specialist, and Principal's Certification (Administrative I). 

While Wendy understands the importance of developing English proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and listening; she believes that English Learners’ social-emotional needs must be met, as well. To achieve this optimal balance, it is imperative to build respectful relationships with her students and their families. She is passionate about her students and works closely with colleagues and families to ensure students achieve their highest potential in all areas. 

Wendy lives in the York area with her husband, son, daughter, and dog. She enjoys traveling, camping, and cooking with her family.
