Mrs. Deborah Hare

Mrs. Hare instructs in the content area of English Language Development, at the K-12 level, and promotes the educational rights of multilingual students. It is her goal to reflectively and harmoniously draw these learners into mutual understandings of the English language—in interpreting and constructing socio-cultural, literary, historical, scientific, and mathematical representations—while leveraging their multilingual and cultural assets.

The written word and lifelong learning are both her professional and my personal interests. Currently, Mrs. Hare is a candidate for a DA in English Pedagogy: Language at Murray State University. She has an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership from Liberty University, a MA in Humanities: English from Wayland Baptist University, a MS in Curriculum and Instruction from McDaniel College, and a BS in Education: Library Science from Towson University. Her Pennsylvania teaching certifications are Program Specialist–English as a Second Language PK-12, English 7-12, Pre-Kindergarten–4, Special Education PK-12, and Library Science PK-12.

Mrs. Hare has taught general and special education students for 19 years. It is her pleasure to work with multilingual learners and their educational teams as part of the Language Instruction Educational Program for schools serviced by the Lincoln Intermediate Unit #12.
