• Therapeutic Emotional Support - TES

A Therapeutic Emotional Support (TES) classroom provides students with a classroom that focuses on academics and social skills to be successful in a regular education setting. TES classrooms operate on a truncated day (late start, early dismissal) and provide 4 core subject areas as well as 2 social skill groups a day. The students are also provided individual counseling on a monthly basis. Each classroom is staffed with a Special Education teacher, Pupil Personnel Staff (Psychologist, Counselor, or Social Worker) and two paraeducators. There is a low staff to student ratio in each classroom to help provide the students the academic and socials skills that they need to succeed.
