York Literacy Institute was established in 1976 to serve York County residents in need of English language and basic literacy instruction. Located at 1416 6th Avenue in York, PA, YCLC offers 4 levels of morning and evening English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, Pre-GED classes, Adult Learner classes, and one-to-one tutoring. For Hanover area residents, YCLC has a satellite office that offers basic literacy and ESL tutoring and ESL classes. YCLC also offers HSE (GED) preparation classes at various times at 1416 6th Avenue in York, PA. Anyone interested in these free services should contact the office at (717) 845-8719.
