Welcome to the webpage for LIU12 Adams County Literacy Council. We provide a wide range of educational opportunities for adults including:
- English as a Second Language
- Pre-GED instruction
- Instruction in basic reading, math and writing skills
Our Mission Statement:
We empower adults to take charge of their lives in order to attain goals, participate fully in society, and achieve to their fullest potential by improving literacy and life skills.

Volunteer to Make a Difference
The Adams County Literacy Council needs volunteers from all walks of life and all stages of life. You do not need to be a teacher or have special qualifications. We provide training.

Donations to the ACLC
The Adams County Literacy Council is partially funded through grants from the PA Department of Education; but, without the generous donations from our community we could only provide a fraction of the services we offer.
