The Lincoln Intermediate Unit 12 (LIU) along with school districts, health and government officials, continue to monitor the latest developments regarding the Coronavirus, known as  COVID-19. It has been determined at this time that all classes, events, and workshops operated by the LIU are to be closed starting March 16, 2020. All offices (including the New Oxford Central Office), fingerprinting locations, classes and Special Education Center schools (York Learning Center, Franklin Learning Center, Paradise School, all Preschool classes, and classes operated and located in community settings such as the Prisons, Hospitals, Outlets, Brethren Homes and Hanover Borough) are closed. Children should remain at home during this time.

The intention of this closing is to reduce contact among children and limit the spread of the virus. During this closing, the LIU will be focused on the deep cleaning of the LIU buildings. We know that many students, staff, and family members may be  sick and this is a hard time for our community. Our hearts go out to those who are ill and wish each of them a speedy recovery.
