The LIU 12 Language Instructional Educational Program (LIEP) assists students whose first language is not English, as well as local education agencies (LEAs) offering English Language Development (ELD) services.

Our highly trained and certified ESL Specialists deliver daily instruction to ELs in various educational environments. Additionally, our LIEP supports LEAs in the LIU 12 region by running a Title III Consortium that works to promote best practices instructional practices, scaffolds and supports, supplemental materials, an ESL Lending Library, and data targets for ELs within our region.
